Simply modified EndEffect background with effect to display net traffic and system status.

wow. Nice backgrounds.
I understand this is a reply to a very old entry, but I found the idea of 'live backgrounds' intriguing. Kinda reminds me of Cryptonomicon.
How could one setup a live background?

Hi Z,
Setting up a "live" background depends on little applications called "Desklets", here are a few ones which you could use for your desktop: http://www.gdesklets.org/ but you can always use transparent terminals and run text applications in them which would be like a living background :)
